New Prothetics Bill signed in Iowa
Governor Chet Culver of Iowa signed a bill that prosthetic devices must be covered by insurance, if they are medically necessary. The health insurance mandate affects only state-regulated health insurance policies - which means plans held typically by smaller businesses and individuals. Larger companies' insurance plans are typically regulated by the federal government.
